The first thing we have to do is realise that the Entire Earth is a fully living, functioning, and self regenerating organism. The very ground we walk on is full of life. The second thing I think we need to do is reconnect with nature. With this reconnection the Love for our Natural world is awakened and we begin to become consciously aware of the need to care for the Earth, to be good responsible stewards. As our awareness is awakened so is our innate senses of which there are over 80 and not just five. We should eat less meat as it takes 16 lbs of grain to produce one lb of beef. Try cooking up just one lb of grain then mentally multiply that by 16 and you will see how much of an impact this has. As you look at it know that is life giving grain that could be used for the famine regions and little babies and children could be saved from starvation. Growing our own gardens would be a tremendous help. Check out on you tube the video I believe it is called the true cost of food.
Make your own cleaners, they work very well, are inexpensive and there's no extra oil being used to produce them. We have got to learn to be more self sufficient and stop depending on corporations who are environmentally irresponsible, who use toxins in our foods and everyday products. We have got to free ourselves from this dependence. Discover your ability to use your human ingenuity and God given human power.
How can the masses take care of something they do not Love? This is why reconnecting with Nature is vital. We as humans do not care for that which we do not Love, it is a basic psychology of the mind. The statistics say we spend 99% of our lives indoors, sleeping, working, going to school, and returning home to our cement boxes we call home. Take a walk in the grass with bare feet, hang your clothes on the line to dry, go for a bike ride and feel the wind in your hair, dig in the dirt and plant a seed, nurture it and Love it and it will grow; ignore it and it will surely die. We humans are facing extinction if we don't change our ways.
