Taylor, our beloved German Sheperd, first came into this family as a 2 yr old "pup"
His first introduction into the "Loudhouse" was my then 6 month old son Jordan, as well as Mum, and me.
Taylor came to us from a workmate of mine who could no longer care for him as his residential status was changing, for myself,my partner and our young son, he was the perfect addition...and that he in fact was!
The first thing that Taylor did when he got into the back seat of our car for the first time was to lick my then 6 month old sons face, that was indeed the last thing he did to both my son and my own face on his passing in December 2006.
Taylor was..and still is today, a huge member of our family, even after his passing.
At the tender age of 14 , Taylor succumbed to cancer, his passing was quiet, serene, and took a huge toll on this family.
I think it fair to say that Taylor loved each and every one of us (including a little sister AND a brother that arrived in 2001!)
HIS loyalty...HIS DEDICATION, even as an animal, makes this family what we are today!
And we, as a family..will NEVER forget what he gave to our famiy
R.I.P Tiger!

I am very sorry for you loss and I know how you feel. It will be 1 year ago on September 29 that I lost my little Frankie she was also 9 months old. She ran out of the house when my son opened the door and was hit by an SUv right at the end of my driveway. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't think of her but it does get alot easier. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Since 5 years old, i have a golen retriever called Lucky. I have several dogs at home from young til now. However, lucky was my first dog. One day i came back from school, i found out lucky was not there. I thought my dad brought him to walk. However, It never came back again. I heard from my dad, the gate was opened and he ran out.

I have recently lost a pet too. He wa my mums partner dog. I got very Atached to him in the two years he was here. I did everything for him But not my mum and her partner have split up and he is not willing to let me see the dog. That was about 2 months ago but I still feel the same. Everytime I think about him I just want to cry. It doesnt seem to be getting any easier.

I am so sorry for your loss. It is so hard to lose a pet! I have lost many over the years since we have had them since I was a little girl on the farm. I had when they get run over like that, but just as awful to have one get sick and fade away too. Hard to talk about, because they become family and it really does feel like losing a family member when you lose a pet, I think.

Yes i have lost a pet. IT was many yrs ago but i still remember it like yesterday. I was fortunate enough to not see her pass, but i seen her get very ill and start to deteriorate. I was 18 and we had her sicne i was 5. Misty was the best dog anyone could ever ask for. My grandmother could not afford to have the vet treat her for her illness (i dont recall what it was called but it know it was a serious illness (was a logn complicated name) So my grandmother had her taken to the animal shelter so that they could either treat her and adopt her out or put her down if she wasnt able to be treated. This was over 17 yrs ago and if i recall taht was before the NO KILL. I still wonder at times if she made it through and was adopted by someone, but in order for her to be treated without costing my grandmother, we had to sign over rights to her. Very sad day. It is never easy to say good bye to a pet, in many cases they are just like a family relative.

yes, i have lost so many pets..some of them passed away while others are because of circumstances that are out of control, like accident..relating to what happened to your pet, i got one who just happened to be hit by a vehicle..so sad to see him limping in pain, and so my cousin decided to let him suffer no more (made me sad again), another dog of our family, who happens to be with us from 1997 till 2004, is a little sad or sick or maybe a little to old (that's what i think), he is a very smart dog that whenever someone leave the house, he happened to accompany us wherever we are going, the last time i saw him..he was lying in the street, a little bit lifeless compare to what he really is, that's the time that he never showed back in our house..until now, we always remember how he have shown his love for us..(that's life)
