It depends on the type of gastric problems you have. If you have gas on your stomach, it could be caused by poorly fitting dentures, eating too much sugar or drinking carbonated drinks, among other things. It could be an intolerance of some foods.
If you have acid reflux or heartburn, the same things could be causing it. Pay attention to when it bothers you the most. A food or an activity could be the cause of it. A few rules that may help:
Don't eat for four hours before going to bed. Limit liquid intake, also.
Avoid foods that seem to make it worse.
Try a tablespoon of vinegar in a glass of water before each meal. (Some people get acid reflux because they don't have enough acid on their stomachs, then when they eat, the stomach has to produce acid too fast, causing an overreaction. Vinegar in water stimulates acid production before you eat.)
Ginger will help. Avoid mints, since that relaxes the muscles of the esophagus and allows acid to rise more easily. Make sure to drink lots of water and avoid carbonated drinks.
Mild exercise helps digestion. A walk after a meal will help your system deal with it. Sitting down or lying down after a meal makes it difficult for your system to digest the food.

I sure don't. I have another Mylot friend who may have some knowledge of this though. They had bypass surgery done in the last few years.

Most gastric problems can be solved by ginger. It's amazing! Since you didn't go into much specific detail, any further suggestions wouldn't make sense.
