The costs of textbooks is way too high....a student can't shell out hundreds of dollars for books !!! why are we going this way? Why cant the policy makers make the books cheaper and more in number at libraries so that students don't burden themselves with the cost rather than the content? What do you think?

I own and run a site called http://www.wecomparebooks.com which allows you to save a TON of cash on your textbooks. Our engine searches all online bookstores to offer you the absolute best value for your money. I devoted my work to helping students save cash on their textbooks. It's sad but despite it being education related, these book vendors and publishes/creators are doing one thing and that's business. And most businessmen care about one thing and that is money. They don't care that students are already paying enough for tuition and board alone. They know that their product is needed and students WILL buy them. It's like the oil industry. they know we all have to drive to get somewhere in our day to day lives, and gas is our primary means of getting there.

I feel your pain, i just had to buy a ton of textbooks and it killed my bank account. The only hope i have is keeping them in good condition so that i can sell them next year.
