well, at least, she will be 3 in a few weeks time. her birthday is on october. i am so happy. last night, i saw that there were 2 syllable words written on her blackboard. my cousin, the one who takes care of her, told me that my daughter's teacher is asking us to teach our daughter to read because she knows the alphabet already and the vowel sounds. so last night, my cousin announced that my baby can read the words written on the board. so i did, and she read all four words. i am ecstatic!

Well, what a fast developer! Your daughter is really very smart if she's able to read at the age of 2 (well, she is not 3 yet!). You must be really proud of her! How I wish that my future child would be like yours, so that I don't have to worry for her when she starts to grow up.
Girls' brains always develops faster than boys'. It's no wonder that people are always saying that girls are smarter than boys. This proved another theory to be true! Girl power!!

Yes, kids these days can read faster. I know my son could also read a few words. They pick up with the phonics CD, computer cd's and the like. Even I read to him. Parents take great interest in teaching kids these days and they learn faster.

haha, yes, i am very proud. and true, girls develop faster than boys. my daughter went through a test to know if she can go to preschool already and she passed. now she's slowly learning to read.

that is so awesome! keep encouraging her to read more and more and she will learn to love reading. my son is turning 5 next month and he is in pre-school. last night i got so excited because he read a whole book. of course, it was a "reader" book from my older daughter's school work. but, he still sounded out all the words on his own and i didn't teach him any of that. i know kids learn to read earlier now days, but when it is your own child it is so exciting to see it unfold. i just got so proud last night when i heard him sound out all the phonics on his own. so, i know how you feel. reading is the most important thing you can do with your kids. keep reading to her and she will pick it up fast. take care!
