Do you ever click on google ads just to help out the site owner?

You see google ads everywhere. But do you ever actually click them? For the content or for the site owner. Sometimes I will go to a site or blog and see that the webmaster has really worked hard on it and I might click on one just to "support them" or whatever. Does anyone ever do that? I have 0 clicks on my adsense. I mean I don't get thousands of visitors everyday or anything, but you would think that there would me more. Tell me your experience with google ads, whether you are an advertiser for them or a clicker of them.
