each n every country wants d best coach to train their national team!!!a team has got two choices either go in for their own former player or a foreigner...Remember tat whenever a national is selcted it'll boast d country's best players n dere's nothin u can train dem... its only to help dem how to carry themselves mentally to an encounter!!!! the idea this discussion is to bring out the qualities of a coach and kindly cite ur reasons for selecting a foreigner r d country's own player as a coach...

hey in order to select the coach , the country should not see their orgin , they should their performance in international and test cricket , by which they can judge them, eg. kirten s good coach n more over s a good fielder n batsman .

its not d matter of gettin a talented coach alone...d team should be comfortable wid him..for eg chappel was a good choice but his terms did not go well wid d team!!!but once wen sandip patil was incharge of bangladesh dey performed extremely well n tats wen dey defeated pak n aus ... tats how a coach should be... encourage n not preach stupid things to players!!!!

I would prefer to have a an Indian coach for Indian team. We can take the services of previous greats such as Sunil Gavaskar, Ravi Shastri, GR Vishawanath, Kapil Dev etc. The problem is the BCCI is highly corrupt and just want to make money. They dont bother if the contry perfoms or not. It high time to change the way cricket is organised in India. What do you say?

Well yes, these things happen in Inida. But do you justify non cricketers running cricket board. How can they know about the cricket when they have not played at all. I think its high time that the senior and veteran players join together and work for the betterment of the team.

i think coach should always be from the country itself,
as some players have problem with speaking english,
i think this makes lack in communication and lack coordination
thanks.

I would prefer as national coach compared to foriegn coach because national coach knew about the style and the players who play even at the domestic level
whereas foreign coach doesnot have idea about the local players also they do not understand the tactics of the national team ,sometimes there also arise a communication gap between the players and the coach
