I think they would make excellent gifts and you might try setting up a 'shop' on Etsy http://www.etsy.com/ if you want to sell them.
I read a story once that somewhere in the US, every fire engine and police car had one or two stuffed toys that they could give to kids who needed comforting in an emergency like a fire or a road accident. I thought that was such a brilliant idea!

I'm sorry. I don't know about eyes but for small kids it would probably be better to crochet them or embroider them. Eyes that stick on or are fixed by wire could be very dangerous for small people.

Here is a site that sells eyes and says that they ship worldwide. If their quantities are too large, you might join up with other crocheters - maybe even start a class to teach beginners!
