Hello.. I've been there once.. Baguio City is known as "Summer Capital of the Philippines".. There are three main access roads to Baguio from the lowlands are: Kennon road, Marcos Highway,And Naguilian Highway.. Kennon road is the fastest route to Baguio, but is dangerous, with landslide during rainy season. The Marcos Highway and the Naguilian Highway have a longer routes but are safer than Kennon road and are preferred coaches, buses, and lorries.. The Baguio City is known for its mild climate.. Have you been in Baguio City??

Hi there mhae15!
Have I been to Baguio City?
Well, yes... In fact, I am from Baguio City. I grew up here in Baguio City -- the country's Summer Capital. I love the place most especially for its climate. There are a lot of tourist spots here that will surely make one's travel worth the trip. The best time to be here would be during the Christmas season as well as during the Panagbenga or Flower Festival. It would be a great idea to be here during the summer too!

yes i've been there, back in 2000, with my mom and her colleagues in school.. stayed near teacher's camp.. it was different there compared here in manila. i like the mines view park, except for the locals who would suddenly turn up when you're about to take pictures at botanical gardens.. but it's okei nonetheless.. and the real treat?! lots of fresh strawberries.. weeeh.. have fun!

Hmmm... Well all of you seems to really like to be here in Baguio.. Well guess what.. I live in here.. I will tell you the fact.. yes indeed, Bagui City is the Summer Capital her in the Philippines.. But a lot of changes happen, well it is still beautiful, but yes like what the other say, it is over populated, If you live in manila and of course you do know what kind and type of people are living there.. There are different types, well, I was born in Manila, but didn't grew up there, I just live here in Baguio for 5 yrs. But you know what? Comparing Manila to Baguio regarding with the type of people, I must say that people in Manila are still helpful, unlike here in Baguio, And you know what? The Crime here in Baguio Increase, Cause there are a lot of Thieves in here, specially in the Market place, so beware.. Thieves here are so many, you couldn't even imagine, they say that the thieves here come from manila, but guess what? I don't believe them, cause almost the thieves here come from mountain province, the one that are called "NATIVE or TOROGi" They're the criminals here in Baguio, I'm not saying all of them, but almost, ahm? ALMOST.. LOL.. haha.. So when you try to go here in Baguio, Just always look at your back, Cause you never know, even kids are thief, I'm saying the truth.. ^_^ have a nice day Happy MyLotting.. ^_^

yes, i'e been there around four times.. 2 during summer and 2 during december.. going there in december is very scary, because of the fog along the road.. your visibility is down to 6 meters.. anyway, it's a great place. we always take home vegetables and walis, and peanut brittle, going back to our town..
now that the gasoline cost much, i don't know when we can schedule the next trip to baguio...

Yes I have been there. I was there 5 years ago. Although it was raining during that time, my friends and I had a great time visiting the tourist spots.

Funny because all my life I always dreamt of going to Baguio City. MY highscool friends went there, then when I was in College, my friends did too. But I was not allowed to go to overnight trips and my family isnt so fond of traveling ao, until 25 years of age, I never set my foot on the grounds of Baguio.
Thats why after I got married, (hubby & I went to Bohol first) we went to Baguio for our honeymoon. We stayed over at Camp John Hay for 3 days and visited all the cool landmarks in the area. I love the place.

hi mhae,
i've been to Baguio City thrice? The first time was because i joined the program planning activities my parents were involved in. quite fun although i didn't really enjoyed it..guess i was 14 then? the 2nd time around was when we had an event at teacher's camp. this time i quite enjoyed it because i stayed at a separate hotel from my parents lols. i'm with the other youth who's also part of the event. the last time i enjoyed the least because i just chose to stay at my room because i don't wanna socialize. lolz.

Yes, I've been to Baguio City twice. The first time was in 1986, I was 8 years old then, and 20 years later (2006) I returned with my friends and my husband. There are a lot of changes that I noticed the last time I went there. I think it has become over-populated. Thus, the state of the environment is not that good anymore. Also, traffic is really bad especially during peak months like February-May. It's still beautiful, but like all things that have become too commercialized, it's sad to see how it is now.

Yes, I've only been there twice. The first time was way back in 1998 with some people from church and the second time which was really recent was two months ago with a bunch of my closest co-workers/friends.
Going back to Baguio after ten years was really exciting to me, it was like the first time, but I was really surprised how congested it had become. There was so many houses built here and there on the mountains, and for me that really kind of destroyed the scenery.
But regardless this I still enjoyed our one week vacation, I just love how peaceful you can live there away from all the smoke and pollution of the metro, oh and how inexpensive it is to live there. Inside a mall at session road we found this really great coffee shop named "God is good" and they brew the best coffee at the cheapest price. You can get the freshest veggies at the cheapest thinkable price at the local market. And if you love the nightlife you definitely need to check "Nevada Square" it's really great and the people are really friendly and fun.
If you want a relaxing getaway, then Baguio is the place. ^_^
