Do you find that you tend to listen to certain songs, when you are feeling a certain emotion? I noticed that today when I wanted to relax, I put on some nice slow, relaxing music and cuddled up with my husband for a few moments. Do you find that you do that? How often does your music portray your emotions? Or are you the exact opposite and think that music is just a source of entertainment.
Me personally music reflects everything I do, how i do it, and it helps my emotions stay in tack while i do it. If i want a romantic night the music will stay on all during the day and the night too, I find that my mood copes with that and kind of gives it a new outlook. Tell me what you think.

Very nice, I seem to be the same way only with rap and r & b. Whenever i'm calm i tend to listen to r & b becuase it soothed me, but whenever i was upset i want to listen to hard rap, or rock. When i want to party lol, i listen to "Cheery Pie" or "Pour some sugar on me" lol. I love those songs lol. Most of the time i would go for r &b though.
Music does influence and can help influence someone, i was just wondering the extent to which it could influence you. I don't know how many music studies have been done, but i am definately going to check them out to see what the results are. It will help me know which type of music to listen to and what types of music to avoid. Thanks for the responce.

Music does that to me too, I find that if I play slow music though I tend to get very down. I always go for music that is uplifting and is likely to make me happy rather than sombre and thoughtful. I am not much for romantic or slow but like more of a rythym and a beat, something I can sing along too and dance too.

Definately. I find the exact same way. Sometimes if i listen to sad song i tend to have like a heavy weight over me, and it just does not seem to go well. It might be possible that music entices and influences you that much as it does me. It seems I feel down, or less positive when I listen to sad or downbeat music.
Hopefully a study will be performed, some have actually already been done, to see if the music affected what type of person they were. For example some infamous shooters were found to listen to some very dreary music before going in and causing havoc. I truly that that music is that great of an influence and will definately try to keep it positive. Thanks for the quick responce.
