Are you a good listener?? what you think if you listen a person who is angry on you and then respond will make a change rather than you too shouting at the same time??In a communication are you more a listener or a speaker? And do you think listening is equally important in communication???

In the real world I am more to a good listener. I listen more and almost never talk. In this virtual world I tried to balance them. I listen, means I read people's comment, and responses, and I read people's discussions, and also talk, means I giving feedback, comment and respond to people's discussion. I think it is good if you can be a good listener. I am studying at communication as my major, and it is said clearly by my professor, that, no one could ever be a good communicator without being a good listener :)

Many communication experts have stressed the importance of listening, although I understand the reason,it is difficult for me to be a listener.

I think I am a good listener, and I also think that listening is very important in communication, because when we don't listen, we actually cannot understand anything, or anyone else's point of view for that matter. Being a good listener is a very important trait for everyone who wants to improve their relationships in this world, be it personal or professional. I always listen before I speak, otherwise I would just be blabbering something instead of giving practical ideas and suggestions to people. I would be wasting their time as well as mine.

I believe that listening is a very important thing in a conversation. I like to communicate my ideas and opinions to people and would like them to listen to me with undivided attention.
I just think it is the respectable thing to do and I like to pay attention also. You can sometimes learn a lot from somebody if you just take the time to hear their side. It also shows a sign of maturity when you can be a good sounding board to someone who really just needs an extra ear to listen.
