We are the proud owners of 2 wonderful English Springer Spaniels. After all the kids had moved out a couple of years ago, my husband wanted to get me a dog so I wouldn't be alone during the day. He did alot of research and decided that the English Springer Spaniel would be the best breed to get because it is a people dog, it trains easy, very loving, and gets along with other animals. So he knew someone local who breeds them and we got Nikki in July of 2006. What a lovable pup - big head and big paws and full of that puppy clumsiness... I did my research on the best methods for training a new puppy and taking care of a new puppy. Around May of 2007, we decided to get Nikki a companion so she would have a playmate. So we got Kiehin, who is her brother separated by one litter. By this time, Nikki was house-trained and not being crated anymore. So I repeated the whole training process with Kiehin and by the time he turned 1 year old in January of 2008, he was house-trained and could choose whether he wanted to sleep in the crate at night or not, with the door open of course. Both of these dogs have their own unique personalities, and they are very intelligent animals. Kiehin loves to give kisses and to "shake" and to "hi-5". Nikki is loving but she can be reserved as to whether she feels like "shaking" when you ask her to. Just like a female... :) The two of them together are the perfect pair of dogs and they get along with our 4 cats, so it is a pretty calm household. We love these dogs and would not give them up for the world. Are you a dog owner or a previous dog owner? Did you find it easy to train your dog(s) or difficult? Do you see a unique personality in your dog(s)?

We have 2 shitzu's, There is a year in difference in they're age. And they are 2 completely different dogs, our male was so easy to train, but our female is so hard headed ans just does not like to listen. But they are both adorable and full of love. And I would not trade either of them for anything.
