I have a dream in my life, do you think I am crazy?

I always have this dream, that I can always make money at home, online, doing something that I am good at and earn money for a simple living. I know that making money online wouldn't make you rich, but I am not thinking about being rich, I just want a job that can supply my needs and yet, suit my hobby too. Making money online should fit that requirement.
That is why I think that I could make it with working so hard for now. I save my money, invest them somewhere and tried my best to make it happens for a long term use. I started to think about making a website so that I can get enough traffic and get my money from there. I really want to do that.
I wonder if I can do that really well.
When I tell people about this, my real world friends, they thought I am crazy. They don't believe me that we can make money online. They don't trust me and think that it was all scam even I have opened my paypal and showed what I got. They laughed and said that it was too small for a payment for a job. I kept saying that it was only the beginning, but they never listened. I wonder...
Am I really crazy to have a dream like that?

Thats good! earning,spending and saving! we should practice that to give our money greater attention and importance and we should not waste it in no good reasons, we should have a goal of being successful, but we should do it in the good way and not the bad way

I don't think you're crazy at all. That's my dream, too. I spend hours a day online making a little money and looking for other ways to make a little more. I really think it can be done.

Do you think it is really can be done? I am not getting skeptical now but to be realistic now, it is my 2nd month making money online, and the biggest earning per month that I got before was only $20, and that was nothing because I would need at least $1000 a month to be able to get a decent living here in my country. Do you think we can do it?

Hang in there! It will take some time, but I'm sure we can do it! I've been trying for about 4 months and I'm up to between $100 and $200 a month now. I'm absolutely sure it can be done!

I feel all those who are on mylot or sites which genuinely pay do have this dream in line to earn online. For last 3 years even I am searching for online earning opportunities and gradually my earnings are increasing and I feel one day I will earn a lot online. Well I wish you all the best for your online earning never leave the dream.

WOW, you have been here making money online for 3 years? How much have you earn if I may ask? And how much per month? Can it support your daily living without you have to work outside? If you are really able to do that without working in the real job, you really have achieved my dream LOL

I don't think your crazy at all !! This site shows us that there are sites online that can make money . This may not be a fortune but it is a start . The problem is finding the sites that actually pay but they are out there . I have been making money online for a number of years now with different sites . At some point they all go down and you go on to another one . Like I said the problem is finding them but they are out there for us to find if we are willing to take the time to look . You keep your dream and eventually someday you can prove all those wrong that doubted you . You told them you could make money online and they told you that you couldn't and then you showed them that you have already and they tell you it is not enough . If would be nice if friends and family would spend more time encouraging rather then putting down on someone's dreams .

if you are crazy, it means there are many successful people on the internet business crazy as well.
that (the 'make money online') is what exactly i want also. i decided that being an employee or an employer will never fit me well. i hate working for other people, and i am not good in managing other people either. i like working alone. my past dream is being an author, a real author: writing books, writing short stories and articles and submit it to some newspaper, magazines or publishing houses. but, so far, i ended just creating teenlit short stories published by a teenlit local magazine (you knew about that 
), and i likely stop writing since years ago.
and now, making money online sounds promising. though so far, my real money from internet come from mylot alone, but i think if i can dedicated more time and effort, i will get a little bit more.
in my opinion, it doesn't matter if we choose to work online of 'offline'. the point is that we have to focus on it, willing to dedicated our best to be successful on it.

yes, i get your points. nowadays most people are still trapped in old paradigm that working means going to office or factory, being there all the day and come home tired and bored. but i think our future job and income is on the internet. even the offices will be run online.
so, if you are really sure to work on the internet, just never give up and your continuing efforts will be surely rewarding (LOL now i am getting more like a boring teacher or elder who mostly give inapplicable advices

LOL. I knew that, Sutan and that is why I am still fighting for this crazy dream that many people would see it as a way to the failure. I have shown people around me that making money online is not easy, it needs hardwork just like people who said that they want to make a real job. But they have already judged this job by how it looks. Because you are not going to the office and work 9 to 6. Because you are not going to the factory and make something tangible.
I have tried many places to earn money, and myLot is one of them. I see this as an opportunity, as a promising future. I have to work from a little, but I think from small things we can go to the advanced level of life.

Old paradigm... yes that's right. The conventional point of view about work and what people should do. I don't know why some conventional people are very fond of the routine activities because for me it is boring. As what you said people would come home from the all day activity tired and bored and being the slave of time because they don't have the flexibility of time to work and to do whatever they want to do. I have the opportunity to work that way, become master of myself, and people looked at me as an unemployed and see me so much differently.
That's sad, isn't it?
Are they just that conventional or they actually envy me because of the luxury I had? LOL

It's not easy to earn money just with posting and responding discussion. Here we can only get small money, which cannot make us rich or pay for our daily life expences. To be realistic we need jobs to earn money

No, you're not crazy Klaudine. Like all means of living, it just takes work to getting to. It helps if you've some tech savvy know-how, like web design and stuff...but anybody can make it online. Not rich, like you said, but if you're creative you can definitely find a way of making a living.
Just may take a little while, heh.
See my current dream, my hope is...to start my own business by micro-farming. That is, growing food and materials I can make into crafts and tools on a little more than an acre of land.
Since I'll be organic and be starting from scratch without sponsors or anything...some people would consider this crazy. But considering I could earn from this in so many ways especially because of the current economic situation in my country and the hunger for cheaper food around these parts...it makes perfect sense to me. I know it'd take a couple years to get to where it's really profitable, but meanwhile it can help me feed my family as well.

WOW! You are doing great. I wonder where you live, because my sister also have a dream just like you. She is still at school now, and I told her if I succeeded with my online earning, I would help her to support the financial to make a farm. She was really happy and she studied really well in her major at bio-technology she's having right now.
Just like you I know it would takes time and more and more efforts but I think it is worth to try. I don't know yet what would happened next, but this dream I should really go for. Thank you xParanoiax I think you are so brave and great person. I wish you all luck for your dream and your project :)

Actually, to each his own.
Your friends' ideas about making money may be different from yours
basically because your idea of "simple living" doesn't jive with theirs.
I'm also trying my hand at earning online
but of course I know that it will not be enough to sustain my needs...at least for now.
Well, who knows?
Maybe if we just keep at this we'd all hit it bigtime.
Let's just be positive here.
Times are changing.
A lot of companies are exploring the idea of
hiring people who'll be working from home to cut down on costs.
Soon enough there'll be more and more of us who are trying to earn online.
And then we'll just be glad we're here now trying to learn the ropes
way ahead of your friends.

I really hope that would happen to me. That is good for you that your online earning is enough for your needs. It is not enough for me, because I only earn a little, I wonder how much you got from online earning so that it would be enough. I am planning for 1 year that I would be able to get enough monthly earning from online so that next year I have been able to be independent financially from making money online.

You are crazy that's why you have that dream, your friends are thinking normally that's why they impossible in your dream, normal people behave normally, think normally, and act normally. As far as internet is concerned some can make money very well because money through internet is based on residual or passive income if you start your own website, It's residual and passive income that your normal friends do not understand, It's also lack of knowledge on their part, so don't worry much about them. Do what you want to do, probably you might one day change their thinking and perception in life and internet.

WOW!! that was a good answer. I never thought that far and that deep I think you are right, only crazy people can think about crazy things that normal people doesn't know. And that is why crazy people are taking actions that some normal people thought that it would be risky and not worth the risk.
