Ticks...AAH!

Every year without fail, we get ticks in our yard at the beginning of fall. And our dogs always come in with ticks on them. Does anyone else have this problem? Does anyone know of anything that prevents ticks or kills them? Thanks.

Treat the dog with frontline plus (it's waterproof), but still be sure to check over your dogs when they come inside- if the ticks are left on they can give the dog diseases.

We have them both on frontline, and heartguard, but we still have a big issue with them. I don't know whether the frontline isn't working, or if there are just that many ticks. Thanks for the advice. happy mylotting.

You are not the only one with that problem, I live lake side and I have noticed the ticks get in even though the dogs are outside dogs. One time I was cooking and had one crawl up the side of my stove and I found 3 on my couch within a week. They are everywhere. Really bad this year for some reason. The only thing I have done that help was put sevin dust all around the house and dust around the doors or basement. It has helped. Have a great day all!

I was told that sevin dust is illegal to use now in our state which sucks, because I heard it works really well. Hopefully they come out with something that well help. We live next to the woods so we have them pretty bad. Happy Mylotting.

have you sprayed you yard? we living in a housing development and they come and spray the yards for pests. there is also fle and tick pervention you can get in the pet asile at walmart or from your vet. i use this along with a flea and tick sray and shampoo and it's works great!

Treating your dog with Frontline or similar will kill them. Usually only available from vets though.

I never had that problem.. Well never say never :D Once but it wasn't a big problem.. Have a nice day..
