Hi friends!
Today I happened to read this news from the newspaper.15 yr boy named Hithendran was declared brain dead after facing a road accident. The boys parents were doctors, and they took a brave decision of donating all his organs to the hospitals. This is what his father has to say
"We thought he would bring us laurels with his academic excellence. But now he has earned fame by donating his organs to five or six people. I am happy he lives through others, even though we miss him".
Despite going through intense trauma after being told that their son was unlikely to regain consciousness, Ashokan(Father) and Pushpanjali(Mother) signed the necessary papers to donate their son’s organs.
Hithendran’s eyes were donated to Sankara Nethralaya, where two people will hopefully regain vision after surgery on Tuesday, while his heart was donated to a leading cardio-specialty hospital. His liver and kidneys were retained and harvested at Apollo Hospitals, where he was admitted, and his bone marrow would be banked for treatment of cancer patients
Friends do they think that the Father and Mother of that boy did a good job or it was not needed ?
I was so upset from the time I read that news,it was a sad incident.
Let us pray for that boy and to the parents who lost their son.
God Bless Them

how many days did they wait before deciding that? i mean yes doctors can say that the boy could no longer regain consciousness but miracles do happen. sometimes when doctor said something like that if you wait for a little more and pray hard then miracles happen. i would just like to ask how long they have waited before giving up with their child. what they did is truely remarcable. giving organs to people who need them to stay alive. i still wonder how long did they waited for them to decide.

I think what parents did with their son's organ is very great! They saved and made other people easier and give another chance to live. That means, by donating the kid's organ it is like he is still alive. For sure, those people who have donated by the kid's organ is very thankful for it.

The loss of a child is always tragic to everyone, especially the parents. I will pray for the parents who lost their son. I think it is very noble for them to donate their son's organs to help others in need. Their statement says it all.
