£10 Amazon Voucher Redeemed on Toluna

I logged onto my account on Toluna which is a great review and consumer opinions site and found I had accumulated the minimum required 60,000 Points (60,400 in total) to redeem for the £10 Amazon voucher! I have redeemed for the £10 Amazon voucher which should arrive in about 3 weeks. You can choose to covert to airmiles, wine vouchers, gadgets, CDs and more.. I wrote only two reviews (opinions) on Toluna and I got most of the points through the profile questionnaires which are worth 500 Points each plus a 2000 bonus for finishing all the questionnaires and the rest were through completing surveys which the site sends quite regularly. The surveys are worth many points; mostly range from 2000 to 4000 points and I built up to 34000 Points on Toluna in the first couple of months alone. I tried searching for the site in myLot but can't see any previous discussions on it. Is anyone aware of the site? Are you using Toluna? Are you taking surveys or writing reviews on the site? Have you reached payout? Have you been paid by Toluna?

I've never heard of Toluna...it sounds like a place to live...lol. Is it easy to do, and is it free to join? What kind of reviews do you have to write?

It is FREE to join. A lot of the reviews are based on questions and answers on products that you may have used or general topics.. There's polls where you have to vote or choose an answer to a question or you can create your own. The surveys have the most points I was looking through a previous discussion on 'Test & Vote' and apparently this is the site now called Toluna.. You can test products and give your opinion on them. It's very easy to use in my opinion and has a social networking side to it too

In my experience this is one of the worst survey sites there is. The points system is very confusing and, as with many such sites, this is designed purposely so that members are always unsure as to how much they are being paid for surveys. I have received two £10 vouchers, but only after a lot of time wasting and frustration. Although I've found the survey invitations via email to be quite regular, you are often rejected from at least half of the surveys you enter which is considerably frustrating and time consuming. The surveys issued from this site are also very unreliable and sometimes you will be locked out of a survey after nearly 20 minutes or half way through the survey will crash. Furthermore, for many of the surveys you complete, the site will fail to allocate points to your account. Because points are never allocated straight away (usually after about a month after the survey has closed) this can go unnoticed. For this reason it is important to keep a record of all the surveys you complete and make sure you keep hold of the survey emails that you receive. I am currently in contact with the site over six surveys that I have completed over the last three months (totalling over 30, 000 points). This is the third time I have had to do this since I joined the site about nearly two years ago. And if you do finally make it to 60,000 points and you order your voucher, you then have to wait weeks for it to arrive. An HMV electronic voucher took a few weeks but my Sainsbiry's voucher took between six weeks to two months to arrive. I would never recommend this site to anyone!

Cheers for your opinion on the site Zmugzy! I have not had any problems with the site's surveys so far and as I mentionned earlier, I found it easy to reach payout.. I will update you on whether my vouchers arrive within or around the said period What other sites are you using? Have you been paid by them yet? Are you using Ipsos by any chance? Have you been paid by them and how long does it take to receive the vouchers?

Hi Marina, yes, I have used Ipsos and they are another site that are a hassle to use. There website is terrible and a pain in the **** . Coincidently I received my first voucher from them yesterday. It arrived quite quickly within about a week after I ordered it, but I've been on the site for about 6 months and I'm not sure if it's worth continuing with them. Their surveys are a pain, seldom work and like Toluna, sometimes points are not allocated. If you go to my profile page you'll see some of the other sites I use ;-).

Congs on receiving the payment Yeah, checked your profile and saw Ciao! Now that's a pain when it comes to surveys, never qualify for the better paying ones and only ones I seem to get through are worth £0.10 is Yougov any good?

I have actually been a member of toluna for months, I lost interest in it within the first few weeks when I saw how many points I had to get for things! I also just found it boring too. But it is easy to earn points on there and I am always getting surveys and extra ways of earning the points but I just do not want to do it.

I also thought it would take ages and I honestly lost track of how many surveys I did or didn't do... I just do them, check if I have pay out and so on

I joined about six months ago but gave up on it when they kept telling me I did not qualify when I started answering questions on a survey. I prefer OnePoll and YouGov, which pay me by cheque when I reach the £40 or £50 payout. It could be because I live alone and don't own a car, and most consumer surveys don't match my profile. I do better with YouGov and OnePoll because they ask lifestyle questions and opinions on popular culture and political issues, so I can answer them and it is possible for me to reach payout once a year at both sites.

Contrags. to you for getting that. I'm happy for you. When I get something I used to tell my friends at work they would just laugh. So I don't tell them anymore. I just cash my little checks and put them to good use. GOOD JOB. Your friend onlydia

I joined this site a couple of years ago and must admit I lost interest very very quickly always found that the surveys they sent I didn't qualify for although I had completed all the profile questionnaires. In my opinion this site is one of my least favourites and at the moment only have about 25000 points so still have a long way to go till I reach a payout. I've decided i'll stick with this site till i've got back something for my efforts after that i'm terminating my account I think. Glad it works for you and know they do payout...I just haven't got the patience anymore to complete half a survey only to be told it's filled its quota or I don't qualify.
