The difference between happiness and joy.

What is the difference between happiness and joy? I believe that happiness depends a lot on things and circumstances where joy is an inner attitude that can remain not matter what the circumstances may be. For instance if your car breaks down does that make you happy or do you get angry and sad? On the other hand if you find a great deal on your dream car and are able to get it does driving this new car make you happy? In both of these situations you can maintain joy. Joy is an inner attitude that remains no matter the circumstance. What is your opinion it would make me happy to know?
