Where do you prefer the page numbers to be written - top or bottom of page?

I was just completing a project and I had to number the pages. That's when the idea for this discussion came. I was literally putting page number at left, center and right of page both at top and bottom and seeing which is the best. I finally finalised on the top right corner. What is your preference and is there any specific reason for it?

Whenever I make projects, I would put the page number on the lower right side of the paper. So it's easier for people to see.

Yeah, bottom left is also a good choice as it is commonly the place where P.T.O. is written and it is the last place where the reader sees when scanning through a page.

Hi
I would prefer to put the page number in the centre or right hand side on the bottom of the page. There is no specific reason for this. But I feel this is more convenient for me to search pages.

Yeah, bottom centre is the most preferred and common place for page numbers. Actually is the commonly followed in many of the printed books or magazines.

Hi
I like to see the page numbers on the bottom of page either at the centre or the right corner.

Yeah, as far as reading is concerned it is the best place, but I think top-left wouldn't be recommended as the pages are usually stapled at that end, which would block the page nos. from view. Top Middle is a fair enough choice.
