OK, what is wrong with homosexual love?

It was not so long ago when my friend got beat NEXT TO the church. One of guys who attackted him knew he has a boyfriend (how come? he didn't known him) - priest tried to stop those guys but when heard why they are beating him he just blessed their ways and go back inside.
Thank you religion again! It seems religion is very important in country like mine.
I was sick with it. He's a very good friend, good son (he's 26, live with his boyfriend, but remeber about family), always responsible, pay attention both to studies and work. No, he doesn't sound or look "stereotypical" gay. Why he cannot take a walk on the street holding hands with his boyfriend? They're together for 5 years now.
I know how it bothers me when I'm not with my boyfriend, but when we walk I love to hold his hand, kiss or whatever - no one really care on the street.
I was on some Polish forum, doesn't matter and described what happened.
I thought I live in modern world. I was SHOCKED! REALLY!
AND THERE WERE PEOPLE - my age, older and younger - who thought it's OK! That's not like nature wanted or whatever! He deserved that!
And what more important - it's OK for two girls to love but not guys! If want be jerk, be at least fair, people!
I got comments like "I don't want my children too see gays on the street kissing". Why lady, but you are ok for hetero couple to almost make love on street just because they are male and female? Everyday I see girl or boy try to suck each other throught they're mouth have to watch it for whole bus ride..)
I don't accept also "do it at home". They are normal people! Why not bann EVERY COUPLE to hug etc on the street? It's same kind of love!
What is really wrong with it? I really like this guy - it's even funny when we compare what type of guys we like. He always is helping me when I ask for it. And what he got for being a good person?
I don't belive in God at all. He does so. Who is worse?
He's getting his many stitches removed in 2 weeks. He has broken wrist.
I was yesterday with my boyfriend on romantic stroll.

I don't have a problem with gay couples. I have a few gay friends and I love them dearly. They are still good people. One of the guys, I've been friends with since kindergarden and I always knew he was gay! It's not a choice they made one day, it's how they are. AND the Church is so hypicritical. If God didn't want Gay people then why did he make them? I had a minister once, the greatest minister I ever knew and when all this came out about gays and the church, it came out that he was gay and the congrigation made him leave! I was so upset! It doesn't say anywhere in the Bible that Gays are bad and forbidden. People are trying to control the earth and life and it's not up to them. It's up to God. Who are they to ban something that God created?
I feel really bad for your friend and I hope he feels better soon. No one deserves to be beat like that.

I share the same frustration. There's just no reason to treat anyone different! That's how people are, if someone is different in any way, they will peck them out and try to make them "right." What a bunch of bull. I've never heard, myself, of a bible passage that said "Thou shalt not love men" or whatever. I am not religious myself, at all actually, and I don't go around criticizing people for who they chose to be unless they are rude to me. Why should anyone be any different? What I also don't get is why someone would get beat up for being gay, but nobody gets beat up for stealing. Both are sins! Other than what people claim what the bible says, because I know people are going to pick out whatever they want from there, what's the problem? In reality, people are not much smarter than ducks.
