When you cease to exist on this Earth, will you leave something behind? Will people look back and think of you as someone who wasted so many opportunities or gained experiences? hurt and disrespected people or helped and gave love? Do you stand up for what you believe in? Or are you scared to be yourself? ...Will you leave something behind?... I will. I might not help every person in the world, but everyone I can help or teach I will, to the best of my abilities. I want people to understand that there is so much hatred and disrespect thrown around excessively for no reason. People nowadays get so depressed or mad over nothing...absolutely nothing. I don't no about you but I put my efforts into something more important. Like education, friends, family, and interpersonal improvements. I will leave something behind, for others to be proud of... ... .. .. WILL YOU?

I don't think of leaving anything behind on this earth. This world is so impermanent that it makes no sense to think of permanence. What I care about is the learning I may gain which I will take with me when I go to the next place destined for me to go to.

Hello...
I also want to leave something behind. We are all a part of this earth...I would like to leave things behind for my children and their children as well as all future decendants. I want to leave my writings behind, for one thing. My writings are very important to me. I am a creative writer/poet who is in the midst of writing a book, in the fear of rejection. In order to write this book, I have to be myself. Some do not like what I write about in my own family..However in order to remain, true to myself...It is important that I write about certain subjects...
I think that it is honorable to want to leave something behind. Without the want of leaving things behind, there may be no history, no Pyramids, no knowledge of cultures of the past... It is important if possible to leave something behind to be handed down and enjoyed for future generations...To me, that is one of life's greatest gifts is in giving something to share with humankind..

I have always believed that we should leave the world a little better then when we found it. In my case, it is doing the things I want regardless of what others think of me. I have been thinning trees from overcrowded places in the bush for a number of years now and transplanting them where others were cut down, and now it is done in many places and they are called green zones. When I go, hopefully a long time from now, the areas where I have lived will be cooled by the shade of my efforts. If those people that shook their heads years ago and called me nutty for doing it happen to be among those enjoying the coolness, well, I hope the pinecone that falls doesn't make too big a dent in their head.
