Absolutely agree with the above response. I too, homeschool my kids and they are not socially deprived. They both are involved in activities, such as sports and have more fun and flexibility than kids in public or private school. My kids get more field trips and have a greater knowledge base than those of their age. I agree that it depends on the parent(s). There are also Homeschool organizations and co-ops you can be a part of and then your kids can learn from others that have talents above your own. Such as learning a foreign language that you don't know personally. Also, it is not for everyone. It's true that some parents can't see themselves being at home with their child(ren) and look forward to them being away for the day. So, my opinion is: Homeschool rocks!
