with the $$ pumped into the league recently especially into Man. City. i really wonder will the league turn into a 5 horse race. You really have to see which star player is Man City going to bring in in Jan 09 transfer window. It may turn the table against the big 4 of Man U, Arsenal, Chelsea and LIverpool. Names that were linked to man city were exciting players. If they do get them, i bet they will give even Chelsea a run for the title. My prediction in the final standing is
1) Chelsea
2) Liverpool
3) Arsenal
4) Man City
5) Man United
GUyss.........what yours take on this???

You must be joking to put man city at the 4th place and Man Utd at the fifth! As far as i'm concerned, I think Man City will take 1-2 seasons to make it into the Big Four. This season is a no-no, even with January transfer windows.

Manchester United are back in great goal-scoring form thanks to the return of Ronaldo and will hopefully finish on top of the table, so u're a moron if you place them at fifth! Here;s how i think it'll turn out to be:
1.Man Utd
2.Chelsea
3.Arsenal
4.Liverpool
5.Man City

Well, its pretty hard to say how the English Permier League will turn out. However, I do have a feeling that injury and squad strength will play a huge role this season. I am expecting teams from the big 4 to suffer due to an injury crisis. The January transfer window will be a important event for teams to make vital reinforcement to charge ahead in the EPL.
Also, I feel that the regulation battle will be an exciting one. It will be interesting how Newcastle United and Spurs will deal with their problems, and if they will be one of the big clubs that will be relegated from EPL.

newcastle and spurs need to resolve their problem quickly. Even clubs like Hull City and West Brom are doing much better than them now. I really hate to see this 2 great clubs get relegated.

yes. i agree. injuries will be crucial. somehow, i feel that arsenal and man u squad depth appear to be weaker than liverpool and chelsea this season and i think this may be the reason why i rank man u so low in the fight for top 4. but we shall see. i do not think that spurs will face relegation, they are too strong for that. however, the same cannot be said for newcastle as they appear to be worse off each season. i can still remember in mid 90s when they were really exciting to watch. with ginola, asprilla, etc. they were involved in a few 4-3 losses to liverpool in a really action packed game. maybe, i will go youtube to see if i can still watch the highlights again

Guess man.city will not place that high (at least in 8 or 9 th position).
We all know the story of Real Madrid. All high class player = results very bad. Man. City is the next team.

i do not think they will be that bad. to start of with..this team has no star player. out of the blue, they become cash rich and brought one of the best strikers in the world. the confidence in the team must be at all-time high at the moment as they do not know which star players they will be link to and must be fighting hard to remain in the team. This will ensure that the players give 100% effort in their games in order to remain in the team. i still think they will be good enough for top 5.
