HOW MANY OF US KNOWS OR HAVE KNOWN SOMEONE WHO HAS A PROBLEM WITH FOOD,DRUGS,ALCOHOL ETC....? DO YOU THINK IT IS BY CHOICE IS IS IT A DISEASE?DISCUSSIONS OF THIS TYPE ARE VERY THERAPEUTIC.

Well, it depends. It starts out as a choice, as nobody is forcing these people to pour that booze down their throats or shoot that needle into their arms, but I do believe that many of these people have addictive personalities, and can't let go. I don't believe any of it is a disease, that's just an excuse.

i think addiction is a psychological problem that needs to be evaluated and treated by a therapist.
