I have a British passport and it lasts for ten years. My toddler son has a passport that he got when he was a baby. His passport will only last for five years and as you might be able to imagine his photo is already out of date. I need to get my older son a new passport because his has now expired. My passport is a burgundy color and it looks similar to any other European Community passport.
Do you have a passport?
If so what is it like? Color?
If you have children do they have passports?

Yes i do have a Philippine passport. I got it after i graduated college. That time I applied to be a domestic helper in Lebanon. So i did get everything of my papers done including passport. That time i just want to help my parents so i applied to be a domestic helper. Im still 21 that time i think. After all the paper works i did back out and did not continue for some reasons. Its for my own good also. So i just stay here in the Philippines and work here. My passport will expire 2011 and it was not yet able to go out of my country. Hopefully 2009...i really hope that year a lot will be a year that i can go to the place that i want to go.

It is great that you will go traveling in 2009 with your Philippines passport. Thanks for detailing how you applied to become a domestic helper in Lebanon. It was a lovely idea because you wanted to work overseas in order to help your family. However in the end you were able to stay in the Philippines and work there instead. I am glad that things worked out for you. It will be wonderful when next year my reach your dream travel destination. Good luck.

I've had an Indian passport since soon after I was born. Though, I'm of Indian origin, I've lived in a different country for many years. My passport is navy blue in colour. My older son had a passport which lasted for five years and it has expired. I've been planning on getting a passport for both my kids for the past one year and have not got around to doing it. I'll be doing it in January or February for sure because I plan to travel abroad in 2010.

Actually no. I've never had any reason to get one. I honestly don't see any reason to have one. Although I've been out of the US...to Canada and Mexico...a passport isn't required to travel to either of those places.

I just applied for and recieved my passport. Now that they have made new rules for
entering the United States, and that is pretty much the only place I go, I live in
Canada, I needed to get one. I haven't used it yet but you never know when something
might come up and I want to go. So I applied for it back in November and I recieved
it in January.
For a change I like my photo on my passport. I don't usually like my picture. The one
on my driver's license is awful.
I was planning on going to Vegas on April 3rd and meet my mom and sister there, but I
can't afford to do it so I have to stay home. Too bad, maybe soon.
Alrighty then, talk to you later my friend,
Have a good mylotting day, Chris

No, i do not have a passport. I am going to get one though as I really want to go to Japan. I have read some of your posts and you are quite a traveller. Have you ever been to Japan?
To get a passport here I beleive it costs about $75 ? Starting in June, we need a passport to even cross the border from canada to the US

Twice they have issued me a green passport- one for the first issuance and the other when i renewed. Now I have a brown passport. It will expire on 2013. It`s very important because I use it for travelling abroad as well as local. My picture in it is just perfect, maybe they have altered some details through photoshop... haha!!!
My new passport have to have my old one at the back, joined by staple wire because I now have a different last name being married to a foreigner.
I don`t have a child yet but hoping to have one, if we get lucky then I`ll surely get a passport for the baby fast...

I got a passport recently. I live in Portugal and I made one to make things easier when I go to the UK. It cost me 60€ and took a week or two I think. I wish the photo was in color of me but it's black and white. I wish they'd stamp the passport even when going to European destinations, would be a nice souvenir in my passport to keep track of any travel dates...

I don't have a passport as I have no plans to travel aboard yet. I think I will go to issue a password if I will have the oversea travel in a month. It is not necessary to have the passport at usual. I don't want it will be out of valid in vain:)
I love China

I just got my passport. I applied for it and it took about 6 weeks for it to come in the
mail. My daughter is 25 years old and we both applied the same time and she got hers
back in about 3 weeks so I don't know why it took so much longer for mine that hers.
But I got it now and so now I can go on a holiday in the states. I want to go to Vegas
the beginning of April. My mom and sister are going and it would be nice if I can make
it too and then I can meet up with them there. I haven't seen my mom or my sister for
about 4 months so it will be nice to see them. We don't live in the same city so I
haven;t seen them since I was back home for a visit. We talk on the phone often and
by email but it is always nicer to be together in person.
My passport is a black case. My picture is in black and white and for the first time
in years I finally have a picture of myself I like. It came out really good. I am not
a very photogetic person so I was happy with it. My passport is only good for 5 years.
I live in Canada and maybe it's different than in your country.

i have a passport and i think it's expiring soon.
they changed the laws in my country and now passports can't be valid for 10 years. the maximum has been changed to 5 years. And it's troublesome!
Anyhow, when i was younger, my passport was a joint passport with my mum's. when i got older, i had my own.
and my passport is RED and i hate the picture of me inside. because it doens't look like me. the custom officers have to do a double look whenever i have mine chopped.

I also have a British passport - even though I've lived in Australia since I was six. We wanted to go to Norfolk Island a few years ago, and it would have been harder for me to get an Aus passport than merely renew my British one ... so I did that, and I think it still has one year left! It's a burgundy one - but the one I had previously was dark blue, with a little window thingie on the front - much nicer than the newer style.

Hi maximax, I don't have a children yet! I do have a passport and its color green and it will expired on 2010. I am from Philippines and I think the color of the passport now has change and I didn't know because I was not in our country. I just actually saw from some of responses here that the color has change.

Yes, I have a passport, but I"m afraid I should have renewed it last June. I will have to take care of that at some point. MY kids also had their passports when they were babies and as you say the photo would soon be completely out of date LOL
We actually have two passports. One from Canada and one from Portugal. THe canadian one is blue and the Portuguese is burgundy like yours.

Nope!!! I don't have pass port. I did not get one because I have no plan to go out from the country yet. and If I will get one without purpose, I would pay a large sum. To get a passport is expensive. If I do get one, I must have a sure plan to use it. As of this time passport is not my priority yet.

I have a couple of outdated passports. The first one I got was a greenish color and the second was blue. I've known people with children that got a family passport. My green passport lasted for five years and my blue one for ten.
