I am constantly at the doctors office, I have to have blood work done at least every 3-4 months because I am on Liptor, it is for high cholesterol, so my blood has to be monitored for complication, thank God so far I haven't had any. Do you know that after all this blood that has been taken from me I don't know my blood type. I had said the next time I go I was going to ask them what is my blood type? I am so afraid of needles that I forget about the blood type question.
Do you know your blood type?

I went in one time during a pregnancy scare and my doctor told me to "be positive" because everything was going to be alright. He also told me that was my blood type and an easy way to remember it. Pretty neat and I have never forgotten.

well i know my blood type is B+. i know it as we had it tested when we were still in primary school. at that time, it was mandatory to have our blood type listed in our ID card. even if i didn't know then, i sure know now. i'm a regular blood donor so i know my blood type. cheers ;p

Hi Chevee.
I am normally a blood donor although I can't at the mo but that's besides the point. I was told I have got Type B but I can't remember if I got positive or negative. I wish I could start up donating blood already but I got to wait a few years to wait.
Catch ya later

Hi chevee! I'm on Lipitor too! I also have to go to get my
blood taken every 3-4 months for my liver value test. I
have been on it for about 8 years now with no problems.
I don't mind having blood drawn although I should since
I have tiny veins and they always have a problem and have
the nerve to complain that they have trouble finding them
like it's my fault. And when they have to stick me 3 times
and I don't even complain, they are annoyed! Can you imagine?
Yes, I do know my blood type. In fact when I was in college
I took medical assisting and we had to test ourselves to
find our own type. I had already known mine so I would know
if I made a mistake, but I didn't! I also had to help the
students who couldn't bare to stick their own fingers!
My blood type is A+. My mother is O+. My father had AB+,
which is a rather rare type. My brother was B+. So they
were all that way because of the mixes between my parents.
Since my mom was O+, which is the universal donor and my
father was AB+, that gave me the A+, and my brother the B+.
That is fairly common when split with the O factor. You should
know what type you are in case of an emergency, although you
would be typed immediatly anyway. But, it is still good to know.
