Does anyone have any interesting low fat food ideas?

I have this real bad tendancy to not eat properly, never have. I do have a lot of problems with eating food as some of it can upset my tum a lot, but I know that I have to start eating properly for my health, I am not getting any younger!
I just wondered with all of the members that there are here if any of you had any quick, easy, cheap low fat meal ideas that I could try out and see if I can find something that I like. Most food just seems to be loaded full of fat that I look at!!
Any ideas at all will be gratefully appreciated!!

There are two meals that i really enjoy that aren't too high in fat, one is chicken basted with sweet chilli sauce, i eat it either with veg, salad or some boiled new potatoes, the other is roasted salmon, i get a fillet of salmon, and some lemons, slice the lemons and put them underneath the salmon, wrap it in tin foil and put it in the over til it's cooked - delicious!!! xxx

The chicken sounds nice, only I can not eat the sauce due to bad tum!

low fat dont mean ick. you can still eat baked chicken and taters, and have it be low fat. remove the skin before you douse it with breadcrumbs and spices. dont glob butter and sourcream or whatever on the taters.. go for "good" fats like olive oil instead.. which is rather yummy mixed with garlic and rosemary on taters, all of which is very good for you. stick with lean meats.. cook in olive oil or bake/broil, load up on veggies with low salt.. lots of good stuffs

Hmmm try telling my fried egg of a brain it dont mean ick, since I left home I instantly disolved into a mass of eating problems. I know I have problems with food just that I never really admitted it before. Now though, it is all catching up with me and there is a hell of a lot of food that I cannot eat now. But also I have to be really tempted by it otherwise no chance. See I have been watching the fat content of food for the last two years, so I know what is what, it is just putting things into a meal and coming up with a meal that is appetising, healthy etc. I do not eat salt, but those taters sound good. I cannot eat meat either apart from chicken!!!

sounds good, except cant use the garlic on taters, but marinaded chicken sounds good, so got any marinade recipes for me?

mal does this terriyaki thing.. prebottled. its pretty good. me, i mix up a package of good seasons italian dressing (with olive oil !) and drench the chicken in it right before before grilling. my fave tho isnt a marinade.. its a bbq sauce.. and the recipe for that is *whispers* ~*secret*~

It's good that you are doing this. I never had to worry about my weight. I was always active...very active. But my knees wore out and I became a lot less active and started gaining weight. I don't eat a lot of fat but I eat too many comfort type of foods, heavy carbs. I was always fond of sweets too but could take them or leave them....they didn't bother me much...lollies, ice-cream, soft drink, crisps, biscuits were never big in my diet. Now that my weight is a problem all those sweet foods seem to be a must and also big quantities of things...it's awful how much I eat...I seem to crave it though even though movement of any kind is rather painful or at least very uncomfortable. I hope you get some answers and get into some good food habits.

I never eat properly either. I just do not have the time to. I never can get my nerves to calm down to do so either. I cannot afford the healthier foods either as I have to make sure all of us in my family eat good meals daily.

I am always 110 lbs in my life eating vegetables, fruits, fish and very rare for pork or meat but now that I have a different lifestyle being jobless and full time housewife, I observed that I gain some weight and that is because of eating more of fried food, fast food and all fatty foods...SO, if you can eat more vegetables like salad , that will be better...I am trying to edit my food lifestyle again since it is not good!
I don't cook a lot but I have to make sure that when I will eat, I have always vegetables and fruits![/i]

I have been 8st 2 for the last few years but this past year I have gained since january half a stone, I want to lose that but I also want to re educate myself on food, especially as I now have a daughter who looks likely to suffer the same troubles with weight that I do.

splenda is so high, wal-mart is carrying a generic to splenda. it's called altern & i really do like it. i use it in my iced tea all the time, have baked pies w/it etc. you might try that as a start.

I like fat. Fat gives food flavor but these days there is just too much fat in the food that we eat except at our house. We watch fat like a sentry at an al-queda prison camp. I like to sneak in a forbidden food with lots of fat once in a while. Cheers!!

wow i feel like we are related. i got the same symptoms as you. i usually take vitamins or tonic to build my body and also they make me eat if not i hardly can eat. that's why i am slim

hii to all mylottians .......one thing i can straight one thing every one has a tendency is towards more spicy and more fat content one........its not ur fault but due to ur taste....so to avoid i can suggest to go for SUBWAY??
there u get zero calories food and even u can get drinks which gives zero calories so that u can control fat content in ur body...............
hope u might be knowing this and can implemnt if not..........byee
