13MP camera, more than enough MP?

To me, I feel that a digital camera of around 8-10 MP is more than enough for a casual user. I have a 8MP Canon digital camera, and I am quite satisfied with the quality. A camera with more MP will generate larger photos, and they are usually big in size. When I set my camera to the highest settings, the average size of the photo will be around 2-3mb. This can be quite irritating when you are uploading photos onto the internet, or in an email. Photos will end up compressed and yet without losing much quality. With more digital cameras in the 13MP tier, do you think that a 13MP camera is enough?

Yeah, I would imagine that 13 megapizels would be more than enough for casual users. My digital camera is only 7.1 megapixels (the one I had before was 3 MP lol) and those 7 megapixels have worked fine for me. Of course if I did end up buying a digital camera any time soon, I probably would get one with a little more MP. But back to the point, I think so. 13's plenty.

At one time I had Olympus digital camera which it wrote in the format of jpg files and tiff. I think, that even a done photograph about the matrix 2.1 MP was camera far more better than these photographs which are being done "contemporary" with apparatuses about the high resolution, but about weak optics...
