Perfect Quilting Weather

It's supposed to be cold, rainy and windy today. A perfect day to stay inside and quilt. I just can't decide whether to start a new project or finish one of my "to be finished someday" projects.
What do you think? On days like this, do you have the energy to start anew?

I'm at a point of having a few too many on my "to do" list so there's no way I could start something completely new no matter what the weather is like! I have several "cutters" that I can't bear to cut and am in the process of repairing. I have my son's quilt that is started and only needs 5 more blocks to complete the top (each block contains 16 4"x4" squares), and then I have one that is all completely in a zip-lock baggie right now.All the squares are completed...it's a mix of vintage spools and new nine patch variations. And as if that isn't enough, I have a new one planned out that I really needed to complete before the elections but at the moment is just a picture on a piece of grid paper. I don't even have the fabric for that one yet. Maybe next week I'll have the money to by a bunch of red fabric and white fabric and start cutting it up into 3 inch squares so I feel like I'm making a little progress on that one! That is if I get through the rest of my pile at least a little bit!

Oh, and just to be clear lol...I don't know a thing about "quilting", I just enjoy "piecing". Most of the time I just tie the layers together but am considering trying to quilt that new red and white one just so it matches the blue and white vintage one it will coordinate with.

Ain't it the truth. We always have more quilts "planned" than we ever make. Not to mention trying to find the funds to buy the fabric. One reason I like scrap quilts. You can hit the remnants bin.

Baking is also good. It warms the house and smells so good. Unfortunately, my house usually smells like burnt food because I don't do well with that.

I don't know where you're located but I'm in Manila Philippines and we have a storm passing by our area right now. We're experiencing strong winds with minimal to hard pouring rains. I was awaken by the drops of rain coming in through my bedroom window. The way to work was flooded. I had a lot of plans today and I had to cancel them due to the bad weather..
