Have you been awake for more than 24 hours?

How many of you haven't slept for more than a day? I had a college gadget competition and the deadline was nearing. We had just 2 days and a lot to complete. Five of us decided to stay awake all night and complete the job. The next day's college was absolute hell. I could barely open my eyes and I could wish for just 1 thing at the moment- a bed. I somehow managed to get some sleep in the class with the lectures still going on. Have you ever had such experience?

There were a few times I stayed up longer than 24 hours. When my anxiety levels were really high, I stayed up several times longer than 24 hours as I just did not want to sleep as sleep made me uncomfortable. I'm not sure how I managed to do it though.

during college days this is usually the habit. when you have a tons of units during the semester you would need to be awake mostly during night time since you have to finish deadlines with the papers & feasibility studies, study for exams or quizzes, etc.. i have gone through this & luckily i have managed to stay awake during the class. and since i don't have a straight schedule, i could doze off during breaks & come in to my next class. but one time i skipped class because i was awake for more than 32 hours just to finish some paperwork. i ended asking my classmate to pass my work. lol.. those were the days..
i'm actually thinking right now how i have managed that kind of college lifestyle wherein students are full of energy! after classes we have extra curricular activities such as drinking sessions, bar hopping, etc. etc. etc..
since i work on a graveyard shift i still can manage staying awake for more than 24 hours. this usually happens when after dayoff you can't sleep because your body clock would change again. or before day off i would stay up the whole morning just for me not to waste my day off & for me to have the chance of sleeping during the night.

I do this far too frequently. I really only have time to work online at nighttime seeing how I have 4 kids and an old man that requires my attention and use of the computer. So yesterday I laid down at 7pm til 11:30 pm and that was after being up for almost 40 hours. Not something I would suggest it really weighs heavy on your immune system and health after a while.
