Who do you rely upon during when you are required to a take a crucial decision? Be it studies, career, marriage, family or social issues. Most people share ideas and their thoughts with someone they like, a close friend may be. Rarely do we find people who do not do so. Some even believes there is no point in taking others' words or opinions.

Hi.
I usually take opinions of two or three people. They may be from my family or my friends. I take into consideration whatever they have to say and then take the decision, but I always say in the end that it is my decision, whether good or bad, no one other then me will have the credit for what happens next. I don't like saying- "you suggested this thing to me!".

That is wonderful. It shows you are taking the whole responsibility and only tryg to have well-wishers' view on the matter.

I bounce almost everything off of my husband before making a decision. I rely on his insight, his view, because there are times when I am not seeing the entire picture clearly. He in turn, does the same with me. This habit though, results in many long drives or walks, due to the fact that I don't discuss the hard decisions in front of my children.
Now if the decision is going to affect their lives as well, I will also bounce the final decision off of them to see what they think. It goes without saying that this conversation only happens with my teenagers, as the younger ones do not need the stress added to the stress of growing up.
Anyway, I rarely, if ever, make a decision that will change something without talking it out first.

Hello,Rajesh! It is customary in our family to dine together and discuss the problems we experienced during the day and discuss about the solutions. All decisions we take collectively. No body takes any decision by him/herself without informing other members of the family.thanx.

In my case I take my dads advice in taking any crucial decision. He gives me the best advice than any other person in the world. He give such an advice that makes me confident and Ill be sure that his advice works. Some times we have to take our own decisions.I listen to my heart and take a decision on my own.Even when I feel that my dads advice is some what less interesting I go for my own decision...

i feel that before taking any important decision we should get proper idea of what we are going to do, for that we should take the advices of experienced persons who had done that thing what you are thinking to do so and at the end the decision should make you by your own because you know your self better than the others....and be confident.
