If you could change the past, would you?

If you had the power to change one thing in the past, anything at all, would you? What would you change? Would it be something that would just affect you, or something that would affect many others?

Even if we can't change the past, that is a very thoughtful idea. Thank you for sharing.

I am forty years old. I have had many things in my past that I regret and wish I could change. If certain circumstances didn't happen then I might not be where I am right now. Married and with my beautiful son. I am content where I am right now. I do however wish that I could have been able to care for my first son that I placed for adoption. He is with a wonderful and caring family right now and I am happy for them to have him. If I could go back I do believe that I still would have kept him. It hurts me sometimes to be without him. He is now six years old.

I can imagine the hurt that you feel, even though you know he is loved and cared for. Thank you for taking the time to share.

Thanks for appreciating my response. It is hard sometimes to deal with this loss but looking back it was probably the best thing I could do at the time. I think that there are always going to be things that people will regret in their past. We just all need the strength to move on from it.
