Spaghetti or Carbonara?

Don't both taste good? In parties, do you usually serve spaghetti or carbonara? My mom's carbonara is superb, although if I eat too much of it I get dizzy. I wonder which is better to serve on ocassions - spaghetti or carbonara.
What do you think?

I love both of them... but in parties... we always serve spaghetti because most of our visitors would always ask for my mothers spaghetti... they love her own version... but if it only for us family... when we get tired of the usual spaghetti... we cook carbonara instead... and i am always the one assigned to do it...

I tend to prefer a more solid pasta like a penne, in an alfredo sauce, my husband made an alfredo sauce once that was delicious. Instead of using marasan cheese, he used Danish esrom cheese! BOY WAS THAT GOOD!!! We absolutely loved it. He made this for us for Valentine's Day. It was our gift to eachother, I paid for it, he cooked it, and we both enjoyed it,
