when you're totally drunk, you don't know the meaning of pain...

i was drunk last night and it was one of those rare drunk days that i couldn't help but throw up. ^__^;; well, i really couldn't help it because after drinking beer, we followed it with a brandy and that's always baaadd.
so i threw up in the toilet bowl and i was so drunk my hand slipped down from the wall in front of me, so i bumped into the wall and hurt my head. but it didn't hurt. at least last night. i was so drunk i couldn't feel the physical pain. i could still feel the emotional pain though even when i was drunk. ^__^;;
but now, i can feel the hurt from the bump last night. my head hurts and i think its a little bit swollen. i don't have a hangover and its only the bump that serves as a reminder of my drinking last night. .

Drinking is bad, dont you know it. Take care of your health. See, you was hurt. Next time you get drunk it might be worser. Take care.

I once knew a young lady who got drunk and tried to use a hot hair straightener to touch up her "do" but she touched up her face instead and still has a hug scar across her face. I don't quite understand why people get drunk, and especially young ladies. Don't they like themselves?

I apologize for using a slang expression, "touching up her do" means fixing her hair. She was fixing her hair-do with something like a curling iron that was very hot and because she was intoxicated and listening to rock music, she was dancing to the music and forgot she had this hot thing in her hand and it burned her face, leaving it permanently disfigured.

No when we are totally drunk at that time we only forget about the pain but when we comes in full control then again we remember it again.

Ouch! Ouch! Ouch! and one more ouch! Hehehehe.. Anyweiz, it is a very funny and memorable experience for you though... It happen to me before but I did'nt bumped the wall.. lolz.. Usually, when I got drunk, I just stay aside and listen to my friends... But you know what, I feel very emotional when I get drunk.. I remember one time that I phoned my "mahal" (Filipino term for "love" or girlfriend) and I cried over the phone while saying how much I love her and saying apology for all the mistakes that I have done... She is laughing the next day and it made me blush... ahahahah! anyweiz, nice discussion... happy mylotting!

hi rodel! it was funny but it hurt a lot. ^__^;; i get emotional too sometimes when i'm drunk. only when i permit myself to be. ^__~ the most emotional drunk incident i experienced was back in college. i was with my ex-bf and friends. we were all drunk especially me and another friend. i was crying to my bf and asking him why some people don't like me. ^__^;; the next morning i woke up with swollen eyes.

This is one of the many reasons I seldom drink lol .
My husband did this one night when he was drinking but he fell and hit his face off the steel that holds the floor in place ( not sure what this is called ) and cut open his face . It was bleeding like crazy and he didn't seem to even notice but he sure noticed the next morning when not only did he have a hangover but his mouth was so badly swollen . He refused to go to a hospital because he didn't want to explain what happened to a doctor when he should have because he really did need stitches as his top lip was totally busted open in a bad way . To this day he is unable to shave his mustache because his lip healed up in a deformed manner because he refused to go for help because he did not feel the pain when it first happened and then was too embarrased when he could feel the pain .

And your lucky to not have the hangover. I get the worst hangovers and so I don't drink very much or very often. For me it is just not worth it so I may have a drink or two but never more than three. I have gotten drunk many a times in my day that is how I know about the hangovers. I am 51 years old now and have learned that it is just not worth the hangover. I would be sick for three and sometimes four days after a night out on the town. I would be throwing up everything I put into me. I would have the worst headache. But yes you are right, at the time that we are drunk we don't feel the pain when we get hurt but sure do feel it the next day. I hope you are feeling better now and that it was nothing serious.

I always used to think it was amazing the amount of bruises and things I would wake up with after a night out and never ever know how I got them. They never hurt and I never felt them when I did them, but I would feel them the next day alright.
It has been a lot of years since I was that drunk that I hurt myself though thank goodness, I cannot cope with drunk anymore!

Sorry to hear you banged your head hope it feels better soon. I know exactly what you mean the amount of time i've woken up in a morning and wondered where all the bruises, lumps and bumps have come from. My worst injury was getting so drunk and falling in the road infront of an audience...the pain at the time wasn't too bad but the following day I suffered pretty bad with a dodgy ankle I had trouble standing on.
The only thing is it never seems to discourage me that's the only problem. This weekend I know i'll be going out there doing a repeat performance...it is fun though.

You are lucky that it is just a bump on your head...
My friend told me a story this afternoon about someone he knows...
Who drunk a whole bottle of wodka during the night...
Then got in his car in the morning to get some breakfast.
And destroyed his $30.000 car by wrapping it around a pole.
He is not hurt...
But his insurance probably won't pay because he was drunk...
And he is likely to be in trouble with the police as well.
I have no compassion for people getting drunk.
I am a drinker myself...
But I know my limitations.
I decided a long time ago that getting drunk was not worth the morning after.

hi aussie! i hope you still have respect for me. ^__^;; i don't get drunk like the friend of your friend does. i can't drink a whole bottle of vodka and i wouldn't if i can because that is just too much. i know my limitations too. and when i am drunk like what i told above, i go to sleep and don't drink anymore.

HI secretbear,
I was drunk once and I even posted a topic about it promising not to do it again..LOL!
It was very awful and even if I was too weak and tired, I had to woke up 2 am just to fill something hot in my stomach...I had bruises in the morning!
I know how it feels but I am firm that I will never do it again..LOL!
Anyway, take a good rest!

OUCH... I will agree with you to that, I suddenly remember the things that happened to me when I was drank. That was maybe 10 years ago. I was working in the cruise ship at those time, me and four friends of mine went to the crew bar and have fun and drunk to much that night. At the time that we have to go back to our rooms which is at the 10th deck, we used the elevator, and it got stuck up at the between 8th and 9th deck. lucky for us that one of our friend didnt joined us at the elevator, so we have to shout his name and asked for help. we are so scared, thinking something bad will happen at the ship. and one more thing we really need to pee at that time. But of course help came, the ships head electrician came, we just stayed at the stuck elevator for 30 mins. but the next day the staff captain gave us a penalty of one month no shore leave (means you cant get out of the ship when its dock), because of being drunk and that was not allowed at the ship especially at the time of emergency.
