What is the best gift you have ever recieved?

I have several "best gifts" but I suppose one of my absolute favorites was a classical guitar that my wife gave me. She had been hitting garage sales and had found a beautiful classical guitar. She bought it and left it for me to come home to one night...a total surprise. She had left a card saying that she had thought of me when she'd seen it. It was so completely unexpected. I still have it, and though I don't play it often, it remains one of my absolute favorite guitars because of where it came from.

The best gift which I ever received was my first piano. My parents bought it for me when I was a child and they then paid for me to take piano lessons. The piano has long since gone (although I have a new one) but the lessons stayed with me all my life and I am still making use of them as I am now a music teacher.

That would be my daughter. I cannot imagine life without her. Or truly remember it before her. It is true what they say. You really can fall in love with your children.
