Do you think "The Simpson's" is good for young audiences?

I think The Simpsons is not very much for young audiences because in this movie have very censored words, have very censored scenes who are not for children. When I was watch The Simspons when I was a little with my family I feel fear of these scenes. I think this movie is not for children!

I wouldn't want my child to watch this and would prefer as an educator that other children don't watch it. What kind of positive influence does the Simpson family have on kids today? Do you really think that is the best use of their time??

My son is 9 and love the Simpson's. He doesn't watch it every day but maybe once a week when it comes on before dinner. The thing is, he grew up watching the Simpson's. He spends a ton of time with my brother who is a Simpson fanatic. I don't know how the newer episodes of the Simpson's are (the ones that come on at dinner are really old), but I never found the humor worse there than in a lot of the cartoon shows meant for kids. Heck some of those are a lot worse.

That's a good question. I think it really depends on the child's level of maturity. I won't allow any of my kids to watch the Simpson's, even though I love the show. My oldest is 13. He gets pretty mad at me, he'd love to watch it and Family Guy, but I won't let him. I don't know what the right age would be.

If you really observe the humor and the use of language in THe SIMPSONS, it is obviously not for young audiences. Yes, ofcourse it's a cartoon but the humor is more for mature audiences and the humor isn't that easily be understood for younger audiences. I think it is appropriate to give it a rating for "15 years old" since I started appreciating the show when I was 15 lol
