How to go about planning a wedding

OK i am getting married on halloween next year. its a special day for both myself and my fiancee because, it is the day he proposed to me and our favorite holiday. i know it is early but we already put a down payment on the hall since the hall we wanted only caters to one party per day and we were afraid the day would get snatched up real fast. so i already picked out my dress but have yet to go to get it sized or even purchase it because there is a year til the wedding. i was wondering if anyone has any ideas or advice for the other stuff, like a good florist that isnt expensive or an officiant because we are getting married at the location of the reception, even a good cake decorator all in the NYC area. i have searched online and really havent found anything and i have been to the wedding websites as well. any help would be greatly appreciated.

I don't think that's really early for planning. we've had our venue booked for ages, and now have just under a year to go. I would say get your dress ordered sooner rather than later. certainly in the UK, you're looking at at least 6 months from ordering for a dress to come in from most shops, so as soon as you find the one, go for it. alterations can be made nearer the time. also, the sooner you have your dress chosen and confirmed, the sooner you can choose things to go with it.

not forgetting shoes, jewellery, any flowers will need to complement the dress, as will bridesmaid dresses. in many ways the dress dictates the whole look of the day, so the sooner it's sorted, the longer you have to sort everything else out.

My fiance and I are also planning our wedding, and although I can't give you much advice I wanted to wish you luck. My fiance and I are going to putting together a crafty / DIY wedding so we will save a lot of money and so that it will be more personal. I am not sure of places in NYC or NY at all as I live in the South, NC to be exact. I hope that all goes well for you, and I could suggest looking in the phone book for florists and just calling around! Good Luck again on planning!

I do have one suggestion, if you haven't picked a minister yet and you know of one, try that minister first as my fiance and I are getting married with no fees attached to the church and well I think it's just great. Anyway, I am none to crafty myself but am glad that my fiance's family as well as mine is. We are all going to be doing the crafting though - my fiance included (even though I am sure he isn't yet aware - anyway I am not sure how you feel about fake flowers but silk flowers look beautiful and are cheaper!

Congratulations on your wedding! It's not early to prepare for wedding now, there may be many things that you need to get ready. I started to prepare my wedding about 2 years ago, so that we won't be too stressful before our wedding, as a lot of things have been settled early. I've visited these wedding sites, hope you'll find them useful. http://www.theknot.com/ http://weddings.ivillage.com/

I think it's not too early to plan for you wedding this year. My advise to get to really good wedding planner so that you won't be stressed out on your big day. Also, remember that this day is about the both of you, so no matter what other advises you get from family and friends, what matters most is which choices would make you happy. Good Luck and Best Wishes!

Congratulation! Wish you all the best on the occasion of wedding ceremony! I'm a married person. So I'd like to advise you couple of suggestions. First, make a best deal and mutula understanding betwen couple becaus when you bound in a couple life that means you're fifty fifty. Both husband and wife have eual resposibility and obligation. Second, the couple life is two tires of a cycle. If one tire is weak, another tire can't mve smoothly. Therefore, always try to understand each other to move ahead because the couple life depends on the understanding. Keep your love warm and alive and make your bed room as holy as a temple with a beautiful music to get a hedonic heaven while you're on the honymoon. I believe that you'll see beautiful as an angel while you're on wedding dress. So take more photos of wedding ceremony because it's a historic moment in your life. Once again Congratulation from mylot teams.
