I don't know how many people would find this useful, but I figured I'd post it anyway.
If you live in an apartment complex where you have to use pay machines to do your laundry (or if you go out to do your laundry anywhere where you have to pay) put a load in the washer and set it for the highest wash cycle. Half-way through the cycle take out the clothes and put them into a dryer on the highest dry cycle. Then put another load of clothes into the washer and let it finish the cycle. Once the first load of clothes in the washer get about half-way done put in the second load of clothes.
You can get two loads of laundry done for the price of one. It works great and can end up saving quite a bit of money.

I'm not sure if you have it where you live but I like to use the blue clorox for colors
