When I was at school, my dream was to be a schoolteacher. Then when I was way into my teenage years, I got tired of alway having very little pocket money so I decided that I would leave school and take a scretarial job. However, I had been taking music lessons and I contiued with these until I got my diploma. I didn't immediately start teaching but after I got married and had children, I was able to teach from home and also spend time looking after my children. I know it wasn't exactly as I had planned but it was a bit like it.

I wanted to become a lawyer when I was a child. Well, I was having thoughts of becoming a doctor or a lawyer. Anyway, when I was in school and discovered that I did not like biology, I decided that the law profession was the one for me. So, I persevered during college and law school and fulfilled my dream of becoming a lawyer. :)

When we were kids people would ask what we want to be when we grow up and I'd always answer I want to be a flight stewardess. I did go to an aeronautical school however being the plain person that I am with birthmarks on my arm and chest I didn't get that far. If I could turn back time I'd probably change my answer. Hehehe!

One of my dream jobs when I was growing up was being a photographer for the National Geographic. I can't say that one has come true, but I still enjoy taking photographs.

I really can't remember having any definite goal when I was at school. I vaguely wanted to be a writer at some stage - but didn't ever do anything about it. With my four children, there was a lot of career advice when they were at high school, and open days with stalls set up for various careers and professions - and it certainly helped them make choices and decide what they'd like to do. I don't remember those things being available when I was at school (in the dark ages).
