The first time I got into Dream Theater was in 1992 when Images and Words came out. Originally I had heard the song "Pull Me Under", but didn't think anything of it. However, I heard a song called "Under A Glass Moon", which people did not initially tell me was Dream Theater. In fact, I had heard it was Saigon Kick, so I bought THEIR album, "The Lizard". Thank god there were songs I really liked off that album or I'd be mad. FINALLY, I was told it was Dream Theater, and they officially won me as a fan and I haven't looked back.

Same here! The Spirit Carries On really is a great song. Its like a gospel-ish song that really inspires you to carry on whatever situation you are in. It is truly inspiring and well-written.
Nice post! =)

I've been a fan of Dream Theater for years. The song that really got into me was "These Walls". Its pretty melodic and the lyrics of the song fits perfectly with the situation I am in now. Also, since I also am a drummer, the drum parts of this song really made me opt to enhance my skills. Mike Portnoy is really a genius with the drums.
Thanks and good day! =)

The first song was Instrumedley, on 2003 video of Modern Drummer Festival. Not really a song but an instrumental collection, but that's how it was. I got hooked and watched it over and over again. Then I searched for Dream Theater (the name was on beginning of the video) and the journey to my favorite band began!

I don`t listen very much Dream Theater, i think their genre is kinda stodgy, but i like a few songs, aforetime i had a concert of them, and i use to watch it sometimes. "Another day" is a very refreshing song for me, it make me so mettlesome, and optimistic.
