the philippines need not foreigners to become progressive, the philippines needs us(filipino's)..
but it is sad that most of us neglect the call of our mother country, for as they say we seek green pasteur..but will there be more greenier pastuer than our own country??none..
what we lack is nationalism and discipline..nationalism that of the times of the spanish rule, american and japanish..our countrymen fought with the resources they have compared to the advancement of technology the enemy present..
my hope is that the nationalism that aflame to our countrymen before comes back to us..

Yes, we lack nationalism and patriotism today, not like the time that we are under the Spanish colonizer, Americans, and Japaneses. Back then, the Filipinos fought with all their might and courage not knowing that they don't have a chance against the enemies but because of their love to their countrymen and country, they found the strength they need to regain the freedom.
Yes, we dont need those foreigners although they are part of the ingredient to be a progressive country. But for me the main ingredient is us, the filipinos. But how can we make our country progressive if most of our government officials are corrupt. And not all Filipinos are not willing to cooperate in such progress we dream of.
You are right this discussion is really an eye opening one, it is worth responding of, especially I'm a Filipino and I'm proud of it. Thanks for the discussion i enjoyed it.
