omg. that's really funny. i don't think it's right to ask someone to marry you just through a messenger. i think that is really an important matter which should be taken seriously.=D

I agree with everybody. I don't see it as a good idea. It makes me laugh, but not in a good way! :D

I think its kind of modernly cute and romantic. It is optimal to meet the person first though-which I hope these people do before proposing marriage. LOL I would never want to marry someone unless I met them in person, which I am assuming they do.

Like marshiemallows said, proposing through Instant Message is not the exactly the bright action to take. But to meet the Right One, maybe that's possible. I know that many people we meet online are not the same person offline. Maybe, just maybe, if it were your destiny to meet the Right One online, then you just might meet her. It's just my opinion.

If you're looking for a wife in yahoo, don't hope too much. You can rarely find a wife on yahoo messenger. Not all the people there are good. My husband proposed to me in instant messenger, but we've been together for 3 years first before we got married. My advise is, stay put. Look for a wife somewhere else and if you can't find, go to some dating sites, but be cAREful of the scams there. And know her first before deciding to marry her.
