How much can you depend on Networking Sites?

Friends, I had a good experience with our Telephone provider.I was looking for my friends with whom I had lost touch since 8 years.I just had their residential addresses and they stayed in various regions in India.I was not sure whether they still resided at these addresses.I searched them on various Networking websites.But to my shock none of them were using the latest technology.I had an idea striking my mind.I called up my local BSNL office to get these region's local Telephone number helpline.But to my surprise I got an All India Telephone enquiry number.I was so happy.I called on this helpline number and could locate my lost friends..It is so over whelming.isn't it? I just thought that when the latest networking technology did not help me,It was so nice of our Telephone service, how much can we rely upon social networking?
