I used to go to temples regularly and find people speaking on mobile phones inside the temples as well.
I went to temple yesterday, And its right time of worshipping the god but i find a man speaking on mobile besides me and I could not able to be very peace at that time. So i find hard and told him to go at corner and speak for long time..How do you feel if you come across people like this

if that man was beside me i will tell him to go out if he can't stop talking..whenever i enter the church to attend a mass i make sure i turn off my mobile phone because the church is a holy place and it is just a very brief moment that you get to spend inside to pray, worship and reflect and i think it is irrespectful to others if you talk inside when everyone is trying to pray and concentrate.

When we go to church for worship, we do not bring along with us our cellphones because it will cause some distraction when church activities are going on. Seldom does it happen that there's a cellphone ringing inside the church. Have a nice day!

Yeah. I also got irritated by this. Wonder how in the middle of a prayer somebody's phone rang but most likely that get on my nerve is the ringtones.

I find it very intrusive, rude and ill-mannered when people talk on their cell phones anywhere in public. I either turn mine off or when it rings hit the ingore button. First, I don't want anyone to hear what I am saying and second, it is just plain rude! A holy place is even worse than a store, or place of business, or restaurant. If I see the number and feel that I "must" take the call, I excuse myself and step outside or some place where my conversation can not be over heard. A lot of people feel they need to shout while on those phones as well. That is not the case, I keep my voice down too, if I decide to take the call as I am leaving for a private place to continue the conversation.

i think that's rude and impolite. i think it's better if we turn off our cellphone or at least set it in silent mode when we joined in a gathering especially in a holy place. even if our cellphone is ringing in such a place, we should avoid it and immediately turn it off, not to mention answering the call! i will only imply that we are not an educated person. i think the man just got his new cellphone and want other people know that somebody call him

I know how you feel, my friend. I experience people who talk on the phone when we are having Sunday Service in the church. It's even worse when everyone bow their head to pray in silent and someone suddenly talking loud on the phone. It's annoying!

There are some places where cell phones are inappropriate and in a worship service is one of them. It's highly inconsiderate. If the person has to talk on the phone they need to take it outside.

I felt bad seeing people using their mobiles while attending worship services or on going to holy place like church. We should respect the place when we are inside of it.There's a place for conversation and talking and in this kind of place it should be solemn and respect others who are on this kind of place

This was the right step you have taken.i am muslim.i go to mosque for pray.So we should concentrate in our praying, not tha mobile phone that is ringing. And people who are doing such kind of practice is very bad.

it's extremely disrespectful.
you'd think it'd kill some people to turn off their phones for even an hour anymore.

its a foolish act done by many people. which even i have noticed. i can understand in case of emergencies but someone engaging in long talks like fools that too in temple is height of ignorance. even when verymuch required one can send a mesaage rather than disturbing others. i think people these days have become selfish enough and dont care for others or anybody else.i think these people should be thrown out once to teach them a lesson. or one way out is before entering the temple they should deposit their cell phones outside the temple.

I always make it a point to put my cell off when I enter a holy place. And if I see someone's phone ringing I have often asked them to put off their cell. I do not like being disturbed by someone else talking on the phone near me. I would ask them to go out and talk.

I feel embarrassed for him, i'm mad with those kind of attitude, no respect....everyone knows that using mobile phones is not allowed to use when we're in a holy place or just keep it silent,,, yes, i bring my cp with me when i use to go to church but i always keep it silent or i turn it off, i just turn it on when the mass is over,,we're in the holy place not to be busy with other things we're their to communicate with God and ask him to keep us safe in all but how can we pray if someone at your side or in front of you talking, not just using cp, sometimes they talk and talk with other topic not related to the holy mass...annoying....those kind of person are not thinking....hmmmppp.....

i will be very irritated if i saw someone talking on mobile phones in holy places.these are the places meant for making worships. it should be treated as what it should have to be.so it is beeter to switch off our mobile phones inside holy places.
