We all browse the web and go through different websites daily. Many times we get pleased to see various colorfull graphics and other attracting things on a website. Many times we get pleased seeing different features of the site and the way they help their users.
But what do you think which excites you more while you are seeing a website? The graphics and the User interfaces, or the features and functionalities?

If a site doesn't work as it's supposed to, I don't care how attractive it is; I won't be back. For me, useability includes design that makes it easy to see. Poor contrast and tiny type, or clashing colors all turn me off.

With the same principle as packaging - looks is everything. The very first thing a visitor would notice on the site is its looks and not it functionality especially if one is searching among various sites. Though a perfect site should be both graphically appealing and functional I would be more considerate on site that has the looks than those who has none. The very reason why beautiful site cost more, first impression really last.
