looking best friend but doubt it

Recently, I was joined become member social networking like myspace, yearbook to find and looking best friend for shared and dating. But i doubt it because i seen almost photos not interesting and somebody hide her face, why? So, is it true that we can find best friend from that places? Can you share with me?
