Should fathers be able to opt out of parenthood?

A lot of people are talking about this. They say that it is not fair the the decision of parenthood is placed on the mother. If she decides that she is going to keep the baby and be a parent then the father of the baby is automactiacally held responsible, that he does not have a choice in the matter. What do you think? Do fathers really have a choice? Should they?

no they should not have a choice. they were part of it too, it takes two to make a baby, and that child has the right to have a father in their life. Mothers are left to deal with everything these days and so many young peole are haveing children it scares me. men need to stand up, and sometime it's not the men, it's the mom's that walk out on their children, and that amases me, as being a mother i could never imagen.

Of course, fathers have a choice too. In the family both father and mother have responsibility about children. Family need equality and it's needs parenthood and motherhood. Hope I right.
