I would be so surprised to see these discussions. I would really congratulate the member for having posted a discussion that interests many users. It is really a talent. It is not that easy to start a discussion that can be interesting to more than 50 other members..How about you? How do you feel when you see a discussion having more than 100 responses?

I find it very difficult to start discussions. I only got one discussion with 100 responses. I was amazed by seeing those discussions with lot of responses.

It is really surprising. I have some of the discussion to my credit have more than 50 responses. So far I have reached 1400+ score and failed to understand why more people goes on to respond a discussion which already has been much discussed and responded. I have studied such discussions fetching more responses and found nothing extra ordinary in them. I have also seen so many discussions which are very interesting, reasoning, substantial to read and educative also but with seldom responses. How you feel these please comment and have a nice day.

You are right. Certain discussion get overload of responses. While few discussions never get any response, though they are interesting. It all depends on how the people feel when they read the topic.

I am not surprise if someone is getting more than 100 or more responses. You won't believe it but a few members here have over 7,000 on their friends list. It is not the topic that is interesting but they have wider coverage because of the number of friends they have. So if their discussion reaches out to all their friends in their emails I believe they will be getting more responses. With 7000 friends and even half are inactive you will still get tons of responses. So recruit as many friends as possible if you wish to have a record in getting responses. You will notice even a silly discussion will get good response.

You are absolutely right..I can just trace the reason behind this now. But do you think all the members at mylot would switch "on" the notification feature for their friends?

I don't see that much here, and if I do, many of the comments are short and a bit of nonsense. But at another of my haunts, I have a a few serious political disucssions going and the last time I checked (about 8 a.m. today), I had 85, 90 and 174 comments on each one. I wish we had more of that here too.

You get these many responses even at a political category..interesting. I thought members would not be interested in those categories..

yes, some discussions are viewed more and hence get more responses. It surprises me a lot when some discussions get even 120 -140 responses while there are tons of discussions without even a single response.

i'd find it so interesting to find out what the discussion was about in the first place,i'd like to see all those people's interest,i'd be curious about what each person thought concerning the subject of the discussion...hmm..although i might be too lazy to read every response posted though!...hahaha

That is an interesting part at being mylot. For a single discussion you can see various responses..You can see how people vary with their thoughts for a single topic..
