New Baby, Induction vrs / natural

Hi, Everyone Just wanted to let you know I will be gone after Monday for a bit! Time to have baby! I am being induced Monday! I hate being Induced, much rather go into labor myself. But I guess its easier this way because she has so many complications and to make sure that everyone is able to be there for her. She will be a few days early but they already checked her weight and they think she is about 7 lbs 5 oz! Not bad for a baby with health problems. I guess all those fruit drinks Helped.
Well my husband is going to try to get me a Laptop so I have something to do while I am with her. She will probably be in the Hospital at least 4 weeks, and he knows I won't come home with out her!
But Have you ever been induced and do you think its harder then natural ?

My friend christine was induced and she told me it is harder than natural labor. She felt so much pain in almost all parts of her body. She told me she wanted to feel something so she actually tried as hard as she could to push her legs over the side of her bed. I would prefer natural birth as well but if the baby had some complications i think induced is best.

im so happy for you,,,well i was induced only to be member of MyLot 2 years ago,,im a men LOL!!!But anyways im so happy for the news!

Hi Rachel, by the looks of it you already had your baby. I hope the both of you are doing well.
I've never been induced, so I can't say. I was fortunate enough to give birth naturally with both of my kids, or as close to it, at least with my oldest. Even though I went into labor naturally, in the end the doctor gave me an episiotomy as I just didn't cooperate quickly enough and my baby's heart rate started to drop. With my second child my water wouldn't break on it's own, so the doctor broke it for me.
I hope your husband is able to get you a lap top, though I doubt you'll be on it much with your new bundle of joy.

i hope things went well for you and baby. yes, i was induced with my first daughter and it was worse then natural. they said she was too small so they induced a 12 days early and i actually didn't have her until 8 days early. i won't tell you the horror story but my labor lasted for about 82 hours from first contraction til she was born. she was 5lbs. 5oz. and perfectly healthy.
i was not induced with my second daughter and labor lasted just over 15 hours. i thik being induced is worse and lasts a lot longer from my experience. i refused being induced the second time around and i'm glad i did. she was 7lbs. 3oz. and healthy. by the way my name is Rachel also. anyway, best wishes and good luck.
