My dad has cancer and needs those "depends"... especially for overnight use-
I'm new to this and would appreciate any suggestions on the best ones out there and also what i should know about common issues and or complaints about them.
Thank you in advance

There are a few different options when it comes to incontinence protection. From my experience with incontinent people, I would recommend Depends. The ones that are like underpants. Not the pads or diaper type.
Because these are essentially adutl diapers, you need to make sure whenever he has an accident, he is changed as soon as possible. He can develop diaper rash. Along with regular changing, I aslo recommend using a barreir cream such as Balmex or Destin, even A&D Ointment.
Remember, your father will probably feel ashamed when he does have an accident. He may even try to hide it from you at times. It is important to be patient and reassuring to him. To him, it will probably be embarrassing.
A lot of people I have dealt with that had to begin using incontinence protection complained that the product felt bulky, ,or maybe bunched up. Often times, the person wearing them is afraid that the whole world can tell. Reassure him that no one can tell unless they have seen them on him.
I wish you and your family the best of luck with this situation. May God bless you all.
