Their system was down

I went to my doctors today to make an appointment,I normally wouldnt go but i have been throwing up a lot. When I got in there,there was a massive queue, I thought "Odd, thats never happened before" there syetem was down, all the computers had just stopped! They said that they could not make any future appointments at ll as the computers didnt work. I thought couldnt they just write it down? As a consequence, no one at all could make appointments today. We are so reliant on computers as a society that we have no plan b for when (not if "when") they go wrong. I canot judge as i make my money online, its just a thought really.
What do you think,do you have a plan B?

LOL no I don't have another plan at all and I make my money online too...
That's terrible though for the doctors to do that, they should of been a bit more resouceful..hope your feeling better soon..

Well i'm sure they could have just put one person in charge of appointments and used a diary that then could have been transfered over to computer later. It's not that hard! the difference is people use it as an excuse to not be bothered. When the system used to go down at work i would just adapt and use the time to do other work even help other people filing and stuff there is always something to do. The majority of people just winged about it and decided they would have a good old break it's lazyness.
